A Global Christian Community

Why were 24 people cheering and clapping in El Salvador? Because we had just declared them part of the global Christian community called KidZ at Heart! In El Salvador, we joined Carolina, Rocio, and their team, as we conducted our first-ever Great Trainers Summit. Co-Learning in South Africa



Hundreds of children's leaders--those trusted individuals with whom children have an ongoing relationship--gathered for training in various locations throughout Southern Africa. These trusted leaders took their roles very seriously. They not only have ongoing relationships with children, they have a God-given responsibility to nurture these children within their own culture. Though faced with a lack of resources and training, they wanted to know the best ways to help children fall deeply in love with Jesus. Read more.

As I reflect on the short time I have spent with KidZ at Heart, it has already been impactful. What an honor to see the Great Commandment and the Great Commission uniquely manifested in a singular mission to reach the 2.3 billion children of the world. I have been so blessed to see God working through our beloved communities worldwide, as we train, partner with, and mobilize networks of leaders to nurture the spiritual formation of children. Deepening Connections in Moldova

KidZ at Heart Team Leader, Debbie Rowley, noticed a variety of ages that attended the training at the three locations in Moldova. Teens and young adults were serious about their ministries and appreciated the training. One woman in Cahul told mentioned that as a school teacher, she attends many trainings, but this was the best. Many traveled by public transportation for several hours to attend the training. And the team was thrilled that Transnistrians attended for the first time this year. Read more.

When my host dropped me off at the bus station he slipped some folded-up bills into my purse. “Some lunch money…” he explained. We exchanged a few final words, and he left me to start my journey home. Eventually, I unfolded the cash gift and discovered an amount close to what I had paid for my ticket. What fun! I could buy lunch at a rest stop enough to share with the eccentric teenager who sat next to me for the longest leg of the journey. Read more.
