KidZ at Heart Newsletter - October 2017

"And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others." 2 Timothy 2:2

From Gordon & Becki

We have just returned from a very full and fruitful ten days in El Salvador. Although exhausted, our hearts are full. KidZ at Heart El Salvador is moving full-speed ahead! Over recent months, we have sensed God moving the work of KidZ at Heart further into regional centers of impact. El Salvador is certainly one of those centers. Read more.

Corazón de Niño

KidZ at Heart doesn’t always need to go internationally to meet the needs of those waiting for training to reach kids for Christ in their own language and culture. Hispanic leaders and volunteers are right here in North America, ready for Spanish workshops on ministering to kids. Recently, Idanerys Montalvo has responded to God’s tug to relaunch Corazón de Niño with KidZ at Heart. Sandra Gener is ready also to join as a co-presenter. Ida’s pastor anticipates hosting the first training soon in Florida and more requests for training are already coming in from other areas in North America. God is on the move with Corazón de Niño and we are excited to see what he does!

The Parable of the Sower

The Gospels are full of stories Jesus told in the form of parables. One of the best known parables is the “The Parable of the Sower.” I prefer to call it “The Parable of the Soils,” for both the sower and the seed are the same in all four examples. The difference lies in the soil. Read more.

God's Work in Moldova

This summer, Debbie Rowley led a team of KidZ at Heart trainers to Moldova. It was KidZ at Heart’s second trip to this former Communist bloc country. Read on—here are great stories that came out of their time with the eager learners who attended the KidZ training, as told by Debbie. Read more.

Every Child is Different

Jovireen Namayega loves to teach the children of her church! She takes it as a serious responsibility to teach them to love and obey God in their everyday lives. But when they all get together in the same room, their diverse needs and backgrounds can make doing anything “together” a challenging proposition! Jovireen felt a bit overwhelmed with trying to teach the children while trying to respond to so many different needs. Read more.

Join in the Celebration!

Through the month of September, we conducted a campaign focused on raising up and supporting an additional 250 KidZ-trained teachers worldwide. Many of you responded generously…with your gifts and prayers…believing in the cause of reaching the 2.3 billion children in the world with the gospel. Thank you! We’re thrilled to share some highlights of how God provided.

We raised a total of $37,500…enough to equip and support more than 315 teachers throughout the year! Thank you for your gifts and prayers, and for exceeding the teacher goal. God is good!
